Page 6: Scope and Preset
This page shows an oscilloscope trace of the vector
waveform, and the current preset number. If the preset
number is followed by a * then the preset has been modified
and will need to be saved before the Victor is powered down,
otherwise edits will be lost. Press and hold the SAVE button
(6) then use the DATA control (3) to select a memory location
(if necessary). Releasing the SAVE button saves the edited
preset to the selected location. The LEDs (5) will all light in
red during a Save operation.

CALIBRATION
The Victor is factory calibrated with high precision
instruments and should not need any further calibration.
If it does become necessary to calibrate it, please follow
this procedure:
• Disconnect all CV inputs except v/oct, which should be
connected to a well calibrated CV keyboard or
MIDI/CV converter.
• Press the PAGE and SAVE buttons simultaneously,
the first LED will flash green.
• Send 1 V to the v/oct input from the keyboard.
• Press any button, the first LED will now flash in orange.
• Send 3 V to the v/oct input from the keyboard.
• Press any button, the Victor will now leave
calibration mode.
To check that the Victor is correctly calibrated follow this
procedure:
• Select factory program 32, which is a pure
sawtooth wave.
• Set the frequency range to 5 by holding the
FREQ button (8) and using the DATA control to
scroll to 5.
• Send 0 V to the v/oct input from the keyboard.
• With the joystick central connect the mix
output to a tuner or frequency counter.
• Use the FREQ control (11) to tune the output to
110 Hz (MIDI A2)
• Send 1 V to the v/oct input from the keyboard.
The tuner should now show 220 Hz (A3).
• Send 2 V to the v/oct input from the keyboard.
The tuner should now show 440 Hz (A4).
• Send 3 V to the v/oct input from the keyboard.
The tuner should now show 880 Hz (A5).
SYNTHTRIBE APP
The Victor has a dedicated SynthTribe app, which can be
used to update its firmware, restore factory settings and to
download programs from the Victor to your computer, then
reload them to the Victor as required. Programs are saved as
SysEx files.
Downloads are carried out by selecting a program number,
or All, on the General page and clicking on Receive. Your
computer will prompt you for a location to save the file to
and to give it a name. Please note that te name will not be
used when the program is uploaded back to the Victor.
To upload select a program location on the Victor using the
DATA control, then click the Send button on the General
page. Your computer will prompt you to select a file, which
