Mower Deck Removal and Installation
The mower deck has been installed at the factory. See your
dealer for mower deck removal and installation.

Mower Deck Level Check
WARNING
Laceration Hazard
Mower blades are sharp.
Always wear gloves when handling blades or working near
blades.
1.
Park the unit on a flat, level surface. Disengage the PTO,
engage the parking brake, turn the key switch to OFF,
and remove the key.
2.
Lock the deck lift pedal in the TRANSPORT position. Put
the cutting height adjustment pin in the 4" position and
lower the deck lift pedal until the deck lift arm is against
the cutting height adjustment pin.
3.
Make sure that the tires are adjusted to the correct
inflation pressure. See Specifications.
4.
Make sure that the mower blades are not bent or broken.
A bent or broken blade must be replaced.
5.
Turn the outside mower blades so they point front to
back. See Figure 28.
6.
Measure (A, Figure 28) the front tip (B) of the blade from
the cutting edge to the ground.
7.
Measure the rear tip (C) of the blade from the cutting
edge to the ground.
8.
Repeat the process on the other side of the machine.
•
The front measurements should equal 4" (10,2 cm).
•
The rear measurements should equal 4-1/4" (10,8
cm).
If the measurements do not equal the measurements
listed above, adjust the deck level.

Mower Deck Level Adjustment
1.
Put the deck height adjustment pin in the 4" (10,2 cm)
position.
2.
Place 2 X 4 blocks under each corner of the mower deck
with the 3-1/2" sides being vertical. Place a 1/4" (0,64
cm) thick spacer on top of the rear blocks.
3.
Adjust the front deck support rod nut (A, Figure 29) until
the front of the deck touches the 2 X 4's.
4.
Adjust the nut (A, Figure 30) on the left and right rear
deck support rods until the rear of the deck touches the 2
X 4's and 1/4" spacers.
5.
Remove all blocks and spacers from under the mower
deck.
6.
Do the Deck Level Check procedure to make sure that
the deck has been leveled correctly. Repeat as needed.
