SHARPENING OR REPLACING
CHIPPER BLADE
NOTE:Whentippingthe unit, emptythe oil and fuel tank
and keepenginespark plug sideup.
1. Disconnectand ground the spark plugwire to
retainingpost.
2. Removebagassemblyor blowerchute(if equipped).
3. Removethethree hexcap screwsholdingthe
chipperchute to the upperhousing.See Figure5-3.
4. Removetheflangelock nuts,front wheels,andwave
washersthat attachto the pivotarm assemblies.
See Figure5-4.
5. Removetheshoulderscrews,thrustwashers,and
bell washersthat go throughthe pivotarms to the
front supportbrace.Thefront support braceand lock
nut canbe removedat this time as well.
6. Removethethree screwson the upperhousingthat
securethe nozzlecover.See Figure5-5.
