antly increase the exposure to vibration over the total work-
ing period.
To estimate the exposure to vibration accurately, the times
when the tool is switched off or when it is running but not ac-
tually being used should also be taken into account. This can
significantly reduce the exposure to vibration over the total
working period.
Implement additional safety measures to protect the oper-
ator from the effects of vibration, such as servicing the
power tool and application tools, keeping the hands warm,
and organising workflows correctly.
Assembly
Remove the battery from the power tool before carry-
u
ing out work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance,
changing tool, etc.). The battery should also be re-
moved for transport and storage. There is risk of injury
from unintentionally pressing the on/off switch.
Battery Charging
Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. Only
u
these chargers are matched to the lithium-ion battery of
your power tool.
Note: The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure
full battery capacity, fully charge the battery in the charger
before using your power tool for the first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time without
reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging process
does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep discharge
by the "Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)". When the battery
is discharged, the power tool is switched off by means of a
protective circuit: The application tool no longer rotates.
Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the
u
power tool has automatically switched off. The battery
can be damaged.
Follow the instructions on correct disposal.
Removing the Battery
The battery (11) is equipped with two locking levels to pre-
vent the battery from falling out if the battery release button
(14) is pressed unintentionally. The battery is held in place
by a spring when fitted in the power tool.
To remove the battery (11), press the release button (14)
and pull the battery out of the power tool. Do not use force
to do this.
Battery charge indicator
The green LEDs on the battery charge indicator indicate the
state of charge of the battery. For safety reasons, it is only
possible to check the state of charge when the power tool is
not in operation.
Press the button for the battery charge indicator or
show the state of charge. This is also possible when the bat-
tery is removed.

If no LED lights up after pressing the button for the battery
charge indicator, then the battery is defective and must be
replaced.

Inserting/replacing the bandsaw blade
Always wear protective gloves when mounting the
u
bandsaw blade. Danger of injury when touching the
bandsaw blade.
Always wear safety goggles. Safety goggles reduce the
u
risk of injury.
Selecting a bandsaw blade
An overview of recommended bandsaw blades can be found
at the end of these instructions.
Fitting the bandsaw blade (see figures A–E)
Release the two locking clips (4) ❶ and lift up the cover (13)
❷. Swivel the lever (9) by 180° in rotational direction as far
as it will go.
Guide the bandsaw blade (6) bit by bit into the saw blade
guides (7). The rear end of the saw blade must touch the
bearings in the bottom part of the saw blade guides (7).
Guide the bandsaw blade (6) bit by bit around the two
rollers (17).
Swivel the lever (9) back by 180° as far as it will go. Check
whether the bandsaw blade (6) is positioned correctly
around both rollers (17). Lower the cover (13) back down
until the locking clips (4) engage.
Check that the bandsaw blade (6) is seated correctly.
u
to
Briefly switch the power tool on and off several times.
If the bandsaw blade is not mounted correctly, it can
come undone and injure you.
