Instructions for Use
3. Equipment set up and use
Installation
a. Unscrew the Rail Lock Knob completely.
b. The Tri-Clamp may be hooked over the rail at any point. If a drape covers the rail the
clamp may be hooked over the drape. The clamp may also be slid on from the end of the
rail.
c. When the clamp is in position tighten the Rail Lock Knob securely. NOTE: Do not position
the clamp over a pivoting joint in the table rails. The clamp may be broken when the table
is articulated.
d. Loosen the Power Grip handle and insert the accessory post. The accessory may be
raised, lowered or rotated in the clamp for positioning prior to tightening the Power Grip
handle. The tri clamp will accept up to a 5/8" (16 mm) diameter mount post or a ¼" x 1"
(6.35 mm x 25 mm) rectangular bar.
e. To adjust the accessory's angle of inclination, loosen the Rotation Lock Knob two full
turns. Adjust the accessory angle as required and tighten the Rotation Lock Knob.
WARNING: Clamp is NOT securely locked when red line is visible. Be sure that
when tightening Rotation Lock Knob that the red line is not visible.
Note:
•
This clamp is equipped with a safety
clutch. If the Rotation Knob is securely
tightened but the internal locking teeth
are not fully engaged, they will "pop" into
position when loaded. If you hear the
"pop" when applying a load to the
accessory, relieve the load and securely
retighten the Rotation Knob.
•
To obtain maximum service life from this
clamp always completely unlock the
Rotation Knob by turning it 2 full turns prior
to adjusting the angle of inclination. Also,
the use of knurled accessory posts should
be avoided whenever possible. Such posts
create excessive wear when clamped or
moved under load.
