(Fig. A—E)

Required Tools and Hardware
You will need to gather a few common tools and hardware.
Always consult your local building code for proper hardware.

Use masonry screws (not supplied) for mounting to
masonry block or a concrete wall.
Use the included #14x 3" screws
wood studs.

CAUTION: Always use the correct screws for the
surface that D
WALT power tool holster will be

anchored in. Using the wrong screw will reduce the
holding force required for proper installation possibly
resulting in personal injury or property damage.
Decide how you would like to install your DWST82822 power
tool holster

before you begin.
1. DWST82822 power tool holster
wood framed, masonry, or concrete wall. See Installing
onto Wall Mounting, or Masonry/Concrete Walls to
install on those surfaces.
nOTE: The DWST82822 power tool holster
be installed over drywall and metal studs.

WALT Metal Rail Mounting (Fig. B—D)

1. Slide the power tool shelf 2 over the power tool
holster   1 engaging the lances 3 into the lance slots 4
in the power tool shelf 2 .
nOTE: Ensure that all six lances
in the lance slots

2. Secure the shelf assembly

using four 1/4-20 x .0750 socket head screw

4. Remove the paper backing from the two spacer
blocks

. Install the two spacer blocks
sticky side to the back of the cabinet
nOTE: Spacer blocks
corners of the cabinet, approximately 1" (25mm) from
the edges.
5. Mount the shelf assembly to a D
so the metal rail mounting bracket
shown in Fig. D.
Wall Mounting (Fig. B, E)
1. Slide the power tool shelf 2 over the power tool
holster 1 engaging the lances 3 into the lance slots 4
in the power tool shelf 2 .
nOTE: Ensure that all six lances
in the lance slots

2. Locate and mark wall studs
3. Drill two 1/8" pilot holes.
nOTE: Use outside screw holes
24" (609 mm) on center. Use inside screw holes
mounting to studs 16" (406 mm) on center.
4. Position the DWST82822 shelf assembly
wall and straighten it using a level.
5. Place a washer

on each #14x 3" screw

6. Drive the #14x 3" screws
and into the wall studs
7. After assembly is complete place top mat

Masonry/Concrete Walls
Prior to installing DWST82822 shelf assembly

on a masonry or concrete wall, waterproof the
surface to prevent moisture.
DO nOT attempt to install the DWST82822 shelf
assembly

using any type of masonry nail. Use #10 or
4.8 mm pan or washer head masonry screws (not included).
