Components of the appliance can be-
come very hot during operation and lead
to possible burns. Hence, please observe
the following safety instructions:
• Never use flammable substances,
e.g. hairspray, styling mousse etc., on
your hair before using this appliance
as this may cause burning when the
substance comes into contact with the
straightening plates!
• Never grasp the appliance by or near
the straightening plates when the
appliance is on. Avoid any contact bet-
ween hot appliance parts and your skin
and eyes.
• The appliance may only be used on dry,
natural hair. Do not use on artificial hair!

• Packaging materials, for example, plas-
tic bags must be kept away from chil-
dren.
• In case of defective appliance never at-
tempt to repair the appliance yourself,
as inappropriate repairs may result in
considerable hazards for the user.
• If the device is damaged, please contact
your specialist dealer or the manufacturer.
Intended use
The device is intended solely for straightening and styling
human hair. Any other type of use is not permitted. When
used for an alternative purpose, operated incorrectly or
when unprofessional repairs are carried out, there is no li-
ability for any damages caused. The guarantee services also
do not apply in such instances!
Preparing the hair
• Wash your hair and dry it well.
• Comb your hair thoroughly. Do not use hairspray or other
flammable chemical hair care products.
• Place a hand towel around your neck to prevent the possi-
bility of skin burns.
Starting up the hair straighteners
• When the device is connected to the mains power supply,
the display shows „OFF" (see figure
now ready for operation but not yet switched on.
• Switch the device on with the middle button, the display
will show the start-temperature (in the example "190°C"),
(see figure
1
).

temperature is too high! Depending on your

hair type the wrongly selected temperature or

improper use of the hair straightener puts your hair at risk of
drying out or in the worst case burning. Choose the appro-

priate temperature for your hair type.

Higher temperature settings are reached in just a few seconds,

a reduction of temperature setting takes place more slowly.
• After switching on, the temperature display flashes as

well as the bar graph, which shows the progress of the
