2. Safety instructions
2.1
Specified conditions of
use
This accessory is intended for the safe
and exact guiding of stock in conjunction
with the following machines:
•
Combination radial pull and table
saw secanta
•
Combination mitre and table saw
KGT 501
Any other use is not as specified and
prohibited. The manufacturer is no liable
for any damages resulting from unspeci-
fied use.
2.2
General safety informa-
tion
Install this accessory exactly as detailed
in these instructions. Only when these
instructions are exactly followed will the
device comply with the safety regula-
tions and can be safely operated.
Before initial operation of this accessory
also read the instructions of the device
this accessory is installed to. In particu-
lar, observe the safety instructions.
Check the accessory for possible dam-
age before any use. Damaged parts
must be repaired or replaced by a quali-
fied specialist.
Modifications or use of parts not tested
and approved by the manufacturer can
cause unforeseeable damage during
operation.
3. Installation
The illustrations in these instructions
show the installation at the left-hand side
of the saw. The sliding carriage can also
be installed at the right-hand side.
Accessory bracket installation
(KGT 501 only)
1.
Fasten the accessory bracket (12)
with 2 each cap screws M8 x 16 (13)
and flange nuts M8 (11) to a
KGT 501 side panel (use the lower
holes of the accessory bracket).

Sliding carriage installation
For shipping the tubular guide assembly
is fitted to the base plate. For installation
the tubular guide assembly must be
removed from the base plate.
1.
Pull the base plate (14) off the tubu-
lar guide assembly.
2.
Put the base plate to the side guide
extrusion (secanta) or to the acces-
sory bracket (KGT 501), respec-
tively.

3.
Adjust the rubber buffers (15) on the
underside of the base plate so that
the base plate is level and parallel
with the saw table's edge.
4.
Arrest the base plate with the lock
lever.
5.
Slide the tubular guide assembly
(16) into the support tubes of the
base plate all the way against the
stop.

6.
Install the legs (17) at the tubular
guide assembly as illustrated.

7.
Adjust the height of the legs.

8.
Install the bracket (20) using the fix-
ing knob (18) and washer (remove
adhesive tape from the fixing knob).

9.
Install the lock lever (19).
10. Slide the fence extrusion (20) onto
the bracket (see also "Fence extru-
sion settings").
4. Adjustments
The following adjustments need to be
made
•
after assembly and installation
•
if the settings require correction
after some time of use.
Setting the sliding carriage parallel
with the saw blade
1.
Loosen the thumb screws (23).

Turn the screws (22) as required
until parallel, then slide the tubular
guide assembly fully into the support
tubes.
To check the parallelism move the
sliding carriage including the fence
extrusion along the edge of the saw
table: the distance must remain the
same from front to rear.
3.
Tighten the thumb screws (23).
Fence extrusion zero point adjust-
ment
1.
Loosen hexagon socket head cap
screw (25).
