that your machine (and your battery pack) can
only be locked and unlocked with a single CODE!
Key (on which your code is set).
Caution!
For number references, refer to illustration on
page 3. Please unfold.
1) Opening the CODE! Key when necessary:
release both housing screws on the CODE! Key
with a suitable screwdriver. Take off housing
cover.
2) Set a freely selectable code using the 3 code
wheels (19) inside the CODE! Keys (e.g.: 1 - 4 -
E). We recommend that you use a slotted
screwdriver.
3) Important! Make a note of the code set for this
machine (and this battery pack) in the following
table and keep in a safe place. The code is
absolutely necessary if the CODE! Key is lost or
for changing the code. Hold the CODE! Key
the correct way round when reading off -
otherwise the order is incorrect.

4) Fit the housing cover and secure with the
housing screws.
5) The battery pack (14) for your machine must be
fully inserted.
6) Activating the machine's electronic system:
Press the trigger switch (10) briefly - the LEDs
(6)
and (7)
7) Hold the CODE! Key towards the machine
(maximum distance approx. 15 cm) so that the
transmitter (17) in the CODE! Key points verti-
cally at the machine's receiver (8). Ensure
alignment is exact! See illustration on page 3.
8) Press and hold in both CODE! Key buttons
"Lock" (15)
and "Unlock" (16)
for at least 3 seconds. This transfers the new
code to the machine (and the inserted battery
pack).
Successful transfer is confirmed by short, fast
flashing of the LEDs (6) and (7).
Your selected code is now saved on the machine
and the inserted battery pack.
If your machine is equipped with a second battery
pack, you will also have to transfer the code to the
second battery pack:
9) Remove the first battery pack.

10) Insert the second battery pack fully into the
machine.
11) Carry out the steps described in 6), 7) and 8)
in that order.

Connecting machine, opening machine
Before a machine (and the inserted battery pack)
can be unlocked or locked, the code valid for this
machine (and the inserted battery pack) must be
set at the CODE! Key (on the three code wheels)!
1)The battery pack (14) for your machine must be
fully inserted. Press the trigger switch (10)
briefly to activate the machine's electronics
system - LEDs (6) and (7) then light up.
2)Hold the CODE! Key towards the machine
(maximum distance approx. 15 cm) so that
the transmitter (17) in the CODE! Key points
vertically at the machine's receiver (8). Ensure
alignment is exact! See illustration on
page 3.
3)Proceed as follows:
• Locking: Press button (15)
transfer is confirmed by short, fast flashing of
the LEDs (6) and (7).
Red flashing of LED (7)
the machine is locked. Red flashing of LED (6)
indicates that the inserted battery pack
is locked. (In the event of problems: see section
8.8 "Problems, faults".)
• Unlocking: Press button (16)
transfer is confirmed by short, fast flashing of
the LEDs (6) and (7).
Permanent green illumination of LED (7)
indicates that the machine is unlocked. Perma-
nent green illumination of LED (6)
cates that the inserted battery pack is
unlocked. (In the event of problems: see
section 8.8 "Problems, faults".)
8.6
Changing set code
You wish to replace the old code with a new one.
The machine and the inserted battery pack must
be unlocked before doing this! You can then set
the new code and transfer to your machine (and
battery packs).
Step 1:
Unlock machine and battery packs ("Unlock")
Carry out the steps described in section 8.5.
Note:
If your machine is equipped with a second battery
pack, unlock the second battery pack as well.
This means that you have to insert the second
battery pack fully into the machine and unlock it.
