SAFETY NOTES
These operating instructions convey im-
portant safety tips and information nec-
essary to operate the device correctly! In
order to prevent damage due to improper
use, the operating instructions should be
observed and kept safe as well as passed
on to any subsequent owners!
All safety notes are for your personal
safety!
DANGER! Danger to life from elec-
tric shock, as well as risk of fire and
explosion!
There is danger to life in case of contact
with live cables or components! Hence,
please observe the following safety in-
structions:
• Ensure that the voltage specification
(V) on the type plate of the device
matches the mains voltage!
• Do not pull the power cable over sharp
edges, trap it or allow it to hang down.
The power cable should be protected
from heat and moisture.
• The connecting cable must not come
into contact with hot device parts.
• Aways switch the device off after use!
• Only insert the plug into the socket
when the device is switched off!
• Never wrap the power cord around the
device!
• Always remove the plug when you
clean the device, in the event of faults,
or when the device is not in use!
• Never put down/place the device and
power cables on hot surfaces such as
hobs, or similar. Do not allow it close to
naked flames!
• Before use check that the appliance
functions properly! The appliance should
not be used if:
- the connecting cable is damaged
- the appliance shows noticeable damage
- the appliance has been dropped
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified per-
sons in order to avoid a hazard.
DANGER! Danger to life from
electric shock! There is danger
to life if the live appliance comes
in contact with water! Hence, please ob-
serve the following safety instructions:
• DANGER! Do not use this appli-
ance near bathtubs, showers,
basins or other vessels contain-
ing water.
• When the device is used in a
bathroom, unplug it after use
since the proximity of water
presents a hazard even when
the device is switched off.
• Do not pull the plug out of the
socket by pulling on the cable
or when your hands are wet!
• For additional protection, the installa-
tion of a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operating cur-
rent not exceeding 30 mA is advisable
in the electrical circuit supplying the
bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
