Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers so that they do not come into con-
tact with or spill onto other foods.
The two-star frozen food compartments (if present in the appliance) are suitable
for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice cream and making ice cubes.
The one, two and three star compartments (if present in the appliance) are not
suitable for freezing fresh food.
If the appliance is left empty for long periods of time, switch off, defrost, clean, dry
and leave the door open to prevent fungus and bacteria from growing inside the
appliance.
Care and cleaning
Before servicing, switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the
mains socket.
Do not clean the appliance with metal or sharp objects. Do not use sharp objects
to remove any ice frost that may appear on the appliance. Use a plastic scraper.
Regularly check the drain in the refrigerator for defrosted water.
If necessary, clean the drain. If the drain is blocked, water will accumulate at the
bottom of the appliance.
Installation
Important! For electrical connection, carefully follow the instructions given in the
following chapters of this manual.
Unpack the appliance and check it for damage.
Do not connect the appliance if it is damaged. Report any damage immediately
to the place of purchase. In this case, keep the packaging carefully.
It is advisable to wait at least four hours before switching on the unit to allow the
oil to return to the compressor.
There should be adequate air circulation around the appliance, as this prevents
the appliance from overheating. To achieve sufficient ventilation, follow the insta-
llation instructions.
Whenever possible, the back of the product should be against a wall to prevent
access to hot components (compressor, condenser) and to avoid possible burns.
The appliance must not be located near radiators or cookers.
Make sure that the power plug is accessible after installation of the appliance.
Service
Any electrical work required to service the appliance must be carried out by a
qualified electrician or competent person.
This product must be serviced by an authorised Service Centre, and only original
spare parts must be used.
