Section 4: Operation
the Engine
I. Turn OFF and unplug all electrical loads from
generator panel receptacles. NEVER start or stop engine
with electrical devices plugged in and turned ON.
2. Let engine run at no:load for several minutes to
stabilize internal temperatures of engine and generator.
3. Turn engine off according to instructions gwen in the
engine operator's manual
4. Hove fuel valve to "Off' position.

Receptacles
Each duplex receptacle (Figure 8) is protected against
overload by a push-to-reset drcot breaker.

than generator or receptacle can supply.

Use a NEHA LI 4-30 plug with this receptacle. Connect a
4-wire cord set rated for 250VoltAC loads at 30 Amps (or
greater) (Figure 7).You can use the same 4-wire cord if you
_lan to run a 120Volt load.

This receptacle powers i20/240VoitAC, 60 Hz, single
phase loads requiring up to 7,200 watts of power (7.2 kW)
at 30 Amps for 240Volts or two independent 120Volt
loads at 30 Amps each.The outlet is protected by a 30 Amp
rocker switch circuit breaker.
Use each receptacle to operate i20VoItAC, single-phase,
60 Hz electrical loads requiring up to 2A00 watts (2.4 kW)
at 20 Amps of current. Use cord sets that are rated for
125 Volt AC loads at 20 Amps (or greater).

The generator
is equipped with a 25' generator
adapter
cord set designed for a 240 Volt, 30 Amp grounded neutral
circuit (Figure 9).The generator adapter cord set provides
a convenient supply of emergency power into your dwelling
so that your generator can be operated safely outside.
The maximum load on each outlet is 15 Amps.The
maximum total load on both yellow wire outlets or black
wire oudets is 30 Amps. Each oudet is protected by a
15 Amp fuse.
NOTE: Follow all safety precautions when connecting any
extension cord or device to the generator.
