Thank you for purchasing the Origin Outdoors gas stove 'Scope'. We hope you enjoy using this product.
Please read these operating instructions carefully.

Please open the packaging first and check that the contents are complete:

WARNINGS / SAFETY:
1. Please check that the gas connection and all screws are screwed tight. Do not connect the gas cartridge until you
are sure that the stove is ready for use.
2. Do not use indoors. This applies to tents, vehicles or other enclosed areas. Carbon monoxide poisoning can
cause serious injury or even death. Ensure there is adequate ventilation.
3. If there is a smell of gas, check the stove for a gas leak. Do not use the gas stove if you hear it hiss or detect a
leak.
4. Make sure that the stove is placed on a level surface.
5. Never hold your head or body over the gas stove during lighting or while it is burning. Keep clothing and other
flammable materials away from the stove. The minimum distance upwards should at least be 1.25 m and to the
sides at least 0.3 m.
6. Never disconnect the stove from the gas cartridge during operation. Do not remove the cartridge while the stove
is still hot or near a flame or heat source. If you forget to close the control knob, ventilate the area well before
lighting the stove.
7. Use suitable cookware with a maximum weight of 5 kg and a maximum diameter of 20 cm.
8. Do not allow children to use the stove. Do not leave the stove unattended during use.
9. Use the stove only as described in the instructions. Use only original spare parts. Before taking the stove on a
long trip, check for fuel leaks and practice using and maintaining it.
BEFORE OPERATING THE STOVE:
1. Make sure that the control knob is turned to the closed position.
2. Check that the gaskets are properly fitted and in good condition.
3. Hold the gas cartridge upright when attaching it to the stove. Screw the gas cartridge on only hand-tight. Do not
overtighten or the gas cartridge valve could be damaged.
4. Make sure that the stove is properly connected to the gas cartridge and that there are no signs of leakage.
OPERATING THE GAS STOVE:
1. Before lighting the burner, place the stove on a firm, level surface and ensure that the pot supports are fully
open in the cooking position.
2. Open the gas control with a 3/4 turn clockwise (+). You will now hear a slight outflow of gas. Press the piezo
ignition button and make sure that the burner ignites.
3. Set the desired flame size by turning the knob. The correct flame appears blue and orange and adjusts evenly
from low to high.
4. After use, turn the knob anticlockwise (-) to the off position. Wait until the stove has cooled down before storing it
away.
AFTER USE:
1. Make sure the control knob is closed and the stove has cooled down. Fold in the flame control knob.
2. Turn the stove anticlockwise until it comes off the gas cartridge. Some gas may escape when unscrewing the
cartridge.
3. Fold the pot supports back in to stow the stove.
