Setting the time
Set the C D / M P 3 / U S B / S D , TA P E , R A D I O function selector switch to the
position C D / M P 3 / U S B / S D .
Keep the S E T button pressed down and then keep pressing the H O U R or M I N
buttons to set the time.
As soon as you release the S E T button again, the time setting will be saved.
NOTICE!
The time setting will not be saved if the machine is unplugged or if there
are no batteries in the machine.
Setting the volume
The V O L U M E button is used to control the volume.
Radio mode
Set the C D / M P 3 / U S B / S D , TA P E , R A D I O function selector switch to the
position R A D I O .
Use the F M S T. / F M / A M switch (VHF stereo, VHF mono or MW) to select the re-
quired frequency range.
Now use the T U N I N G control to select the required station.
If you find a stereo station, the stereo LED will light up.
NOTICE:
If the stereo signal is too weak in the F M S T waveband, you may be able
to improve the reception by setting the F M S T. / F M / A M switch to mono
reception (FM position).
To turn off the radio, set the C D / M P 3 / U S B / S D , TA P E , R A D I O function se-
lector switch to the position TAPE/OFF.
Aerial
The machine is fitted with a telescopic aerial for FM reception.
The aerial can be turned 360° but cannot be tilted in all directions because of the
shape of the machine.
Adjust the aerial to get optimal FM reception. If the reception is poor, try placing
the machine elsewhere in the room.
There is a built-in ferrite aerial for MW reception. Turn the device to the ideal posi-
tion for reception.
