Pendant Operating Instructions
Throttle ON / OFF
» Push the switch up to turn the throttle to full speed.

» Push the switch down to turn the throttle OFF.
Note: The sawhead and carriage can be moved with
the throttle OFF but the throttle has to be ON and the
engine in full speed before the carriage moves forward

to cut a log.
Power Sawhead
» Push the switch up to raise the sawhead.
» Push the switch down to lower the sawhead.
» Hold the switch in position until the cutting head reaches the desired
height, then release.
Note:
» The switch is designed to return to the neutral position when released.
If the switch remains engaged, manually move the switch to the
center position and call Norwood at 1-705-325-0030 or e-mail info@
norwoodsawmills.com to diagnose the issue.
» The depth-of-cut scale shows the height of the blade above the cross
bunks
Power Feed
» Push the switch to the left to move the carriage backward.
» Push the switch to the right to move the carriage forward.
» Hold the switch in position until the cutting head reaches the desired
location, then release.
Note:
» The switch is designed to return to the neutral position when released.

» The forward speed can be adjusted by turning the forward speed dial
(see below).
The speed of the vertical drive and horizontal drive
is determined by the speed controller setting. If
any motor fails to move when commanded, ensure
that the corresponding potentiometer is not set to 0
(minimum).
Properly install a blade on the sawhead and
ensure that it has been properly tensioned.
Keep all persons out of the path of the moving
equipment when operating sawmill.
Before each use, check for electrical wire
damage and replace if necessary.

Speed Connector
» Turn the switch clockwise to increase speed.
Turn it counter-clockwise to reduce the speed.
Note: At the minimum speed (0), the carriage will not move.
NOTE: If you purchased the IntelliSet Computer
Setworks, it uses a different pendant. Refer to
your IntelliSet manual for pendant instructions.
