Constant Current LED Transformer
• Secure packaging, small parts and insulation
against accidental use.
• Keep the product away from animals.
2 Description and function
2.1 Product
The product is a voltage transformer that converts
mains voltage into low voltage and is used as a direct
current source for LEDs. The transformer is primar-
ily suitable for series circuits due to the constant output
current. The flat design enables space-saving instal-
lation and thanks to the integrated protection electro-
nics, the transformer is also approved for installation
in furniture.
2.2 Scope of delivery
Constant Current LED Transformer, User Manual
2.3 Operating Elements
See Fig. 1.
1 Primary side with cover (mains connection)
2 Secondary side with cover (connection for
LED lighting)
3 Terminal blocks
4 Mounting slots
3 Intended use
We do not permit using the device in other
ways like described in chapter „Description
and Function" or in the „Safety Instructions".
Use the product only in dry interior rooms. Never use
the product in rooms where there are flammable gases
or vapours. Not attending to these regulations and sa-
fety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries,
and damages to persons and property.
IP20: This product is protected against medium sized
foreign objects, but not against water ingress.
4 Preparation
1. Check the scope of delivery for completeness and
integrity.
2. Compare the specifications of all used devices and
ensure compatibility.
5 Installation
NOTICE!
• Always connect the secondary circuit first before
connecting the primary circuit.
• Assign the N/L and plus and minus terminal blocks
as marked on the product.
• The cable on the secondary side to the LED light-
ing should not be longer than 2 m to comply with the
EMC directive.
• Do not exceed the loads specified in the „Specifica-
tions" section.
• Maintain a minimum distance of 50 mm in all directi-
ons around the transformer (See Fig. 3).
See Fig. 2
1. Check whether the fuse is switched off and secured
against being switched on again and check with a
voltage tester whether the cables to be wired are re-
ally voltage-free.
2. Unscrew the covers of the primary and secondary
sides with a Phillips screwdriver and put the covers
and screws aside.
3. Prepare the connecting cables for connection to the
terminal blocks by removing approx. 6 mm of the in-
sulation from the cable ends.
4. Connect your LEDs in correct polarity to the terminal
blocks in the secondary circuit (SEC).

To calculate the total power (P in watts) of your lamp
combination, multiply the current consumption of the
lamp (I in amperes) by its voltage (U in volts). P=U*I
applies here. In parallel circuits, the voltage (U) re-
mains constant. In series circuits, the current (I) re-
mains constant.
5. When all consumers are correctly connected on the
secondary side, connect the primary side (PRI) to
the mains via the terminal blocks N and L.
6. Check the function of all installed components befo-
re operating the LED transformer.
7. Replace the covers and screw them tight.
8. Secure the LED transformer using screws at the
mounting slots.
Observe the minimum distance of 50 mm in all direc-
tions.
6 Response to faults
In the event of faults such as overload, overtemperatu-
re or short circuit, an internal safety mechanism is trig-
gered and the power supply to the secondary circuit is
interrupted. After the cause of the fault has been elimi-
nated, the LED transformer continues to operate nor-
mally.
7 Maintenance, Care, Storage and
Transportation
The product is maintenance-free.
NOTICE!
• Only clean the product when it is disconnected from
the power supply.
• Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
• Do not use detergents or chemicals.
• When not in use for a long time, store the product
out of reach of children and animals and in a dry
and dust-protected environment.
• Store cool and dry.
• Do not store the product near easily inflammab-
le objects.
• Keep and use the original packaging for transport.
8 Disposal instructions
According to the European WEEE directive,
electrical and electronic equipment must not be
disposed with consumers waste. Its compo-
nents must be recycled or disposed apart from
each other. Otherwise contaminative and ha-
zardous substances can damage the health and pollute
the environment.
As a consumer, you are committed by law to dispose
electrical and electronic devices to the producer, the
dealer, or public collecting points at the end of the devi-
ces lifetime for free. Particulars are regulated in natio-
nal right. The symbol on the product, in the user manu-
al, or at the packaging alludes to these terms. With this
kind of waste separation, application, and waste dispo-
sal of used devices you achieve an important share to
environmental protection.
