15. EC Declaration of Conformity
We, Ikra GmbH, Schlesierstraße 36, D-64839 Münster,
Germany, declare under our sole responsibility that the
product Electric Silent Shredder IEG 2500, to which
this declaration relates correspond to the relevant basic
safety and health requirements of Directives 2006/42/
EC (Machinery Directive), 2014/30/EU (EMC-Guide-
line), 2011/65/EU (RoHS-Guideline) and 2000/14/EC
+ 2005/88/EC (noise directive) incl. modifications. For
the relevant implementation of the safety and health
requirements mentioned in the Directives, the following

16. Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Motor does not run
The material is not being pulled in

CAUSE
Safety lock
Power outage
The material is clogging up in the
feeding funnel.
The shredding material is too soft.
The blade is blocked.

SOLUTION
Tighten the hand screws well.
Check the power supply cable, the
plug and the fuse.
Shut down the shredder. Pull the
material out of the feeding funnel.
Restart the shredder and insert the
thick branches in such a way that
the blade does immediately catch
in the previous cut.
Put some wood in or shred dried
branches.
Unscrew the hand screw. Open the
shredder and remove the material
causing the clog.
