·
Clean the upper part of the iron with a soft, damp cloth.
·
Wipe away drips on the steam generator and clean the thermal insulation pads with a dry cloth.
·
If you do not use the steam generator for a long time, pour the water out of the water tank and put the
iron on the thermal insulation pads for storage.
ATTENTION: Use only tap water (or 50% tap water and 50% demineralised water in case of hard water)
in the steam generator. Caution: 100% softened or demineralised water should be avoided! Using a
"softener" and/or scented water may cause brown stains, resulting in damage to the steam chamber.
DECALCIFY
Descale the steam generator regularly to extend the life of the appliance and
to maintain proper operation. To do this, follow the instructions below:
1.
Fill half of the water tank with a mixture of 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water.
2.
Plug in and turn the temperature dial to 'dry ironing'.
3.
The temperature indicator light will come on to show that the appliance
is heating up. Wait for the appliance to heat up and hold the iron over a
sink or sink.
4.
Now hold down the steam button for one minute so that you produce
continuous steam. The appliance will clean itself in this way.
CAUTION: take care not to come into contact with the hot steam to avoid burns!
5.
After this, fill the water tank with water only. Turn the temperature dial to the maximum and wait for
the appliance to reach temperature. Repeat this cycle of spraying steam 2 to 3 times, but this time
with just water, until the vinegar smell has disappeared.
