It is necessary to pay attention when reversing. Ensure that your
speed is low before reversing. Please keep in mind that you need to
steer in the opposite direction when you are reversing. This requires
practice. Practice this also on a level site with ample space.
22
•
If you turn sharply, turn the handlebars before you accelerate.
Always drive in a wide arc around corners and obstacles and ensure
that you drive slowly and carefully. For your own safety, the scooter
automatically reduces the speed when cornering.
•
When the drive is connected, the brake is automatically applied
when the throttle lever is released. The scooter then cannot be
pushed or displaced because the brake is automatically applied to
the motor.
4.4. Pushing mode
If you want to push the scooter in certain situations, you must unlock
the brakes. It is easy to push the scooter in free wheel mode.
23
•
Pull the unlocking lever in the back (Fig 23) downwards.
•
A small jerk will indicate that the drives are now unlocked.
•
To lock, simply push the lever up and locking then takes place
automatically (Fig 23).
54
Please note that, for safety reasons, the reversing
speed is only half the speed going forward.
The electro-mechanical brake will then not operate.
For safety reasons, the motor drive is locked when
the scooter is being operated in pushing mode.
Caution! Danger of fatal injury! The drives must
only be disconnected on a level surface.
4.4.1. Brakes in pushing mode
A manual service brake is attached to your scooter (as described in
section 2.3). This can be used for support with braking when the drives
are connected; it can also be used as a service brake when the drive is
disconnected. The service brake acts on both front wheels and also
serves as a locking brake.
Parking and locking the brake is performed by locking the drive. For this
purpose, the scooter must be brought to a standstill by a helper and/
or by using the manual service brake. The electro-mechanical brake, as
shown in figure 23, must then be activated.
4.5. Overload switch
The controller will cut out if the motor is overloaded, e.g. by driving
uphill for too long. In this case, the ignition just needs to be switched
off and on again in order to start moving again. If this does not work,
this means that the controller has overheated.
In this case, please wait a few minutes. In the event of an electrical
overload, the fuse will shut off the power to the scooter. The overload
switch (Fig. 26) is located on the front of the seat construction (Fig. 27).
After pressing the switch, the scooter should function normally again.
If it does not function as expected, please contact your specialist
retailer or Bischoff & Bischoff customer service.
