Use suitable candles
OVAL CANDLE 35 is designed for candles with a diameter of 5 cm and a
maximum length of up to 10 cm (Figure C1).
OVAL CANDLE 55 is designed for candles with a diameter of 2-2.4 cm and a
maximum length of up to 25 cm (Figure C2).
The candle length can vary according to your wishes, but it must not exceed the
maximum length. This is essential for ensuring the OVAL CANDLE stands safely.
• Only use undamaged candles.
• Particular caution is required with stearin candles. Stearin candles tend to crack at

Remove all packaging material before lighting the candle.
Always place the candle vertically in the candle holder provided to
prevent uncontrolled fl ow of wax.
Always keep suffi cient distance to combustible materials such as curtains.
Follow the candle manufacturer's instructions regarding distance. We
recommend a minimum distance of 50 cm.
Avoid drafts on the candle fl ame. A candle can only burn evenly and without
sooty smoke if the fl ame isn't disturbed by air movement. If the candle is
clearly making sooty smoke, extinguish it and use a new candle. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
The wick length of a candle should be approx. 10-15 mm. If the wick is too
long, the candle could give off sooty smoke. If necessary, when the candle
is not burning, cut the wick to the correct length with a wick trimmer.

Do not place candles too close together. We recommend a distance of at
least 10 cm from candle to candle. Follow the manufacturer's
instructions. Never put lit candles on top of each other.
Never blow out candles. Use a snuffer lid or snuffer horn to extinguish
the candle.
Never use water or fl ammable liquids to extinguish the candle.
