Assembly inst r uc tions and

Carefully read through the
complete assembly instruc-
tions and user manual, par-
ticularly the safety instructions. Failure to
heed these safety instructions may result
in severe injury or damage to the balco-
ny base. Store the assembly instructions
and user manual for future reference and
always include them when passing the
balcony base on to third parties.
Your safet y
Please observe the following
safety instructions. The manu-
facturer is not liable for damage
as the result of failure to comply.
The balcony base is not a children's toy.
Children could crush their fingers or feet.
Only use the balcony base on balco-
nies whose railings are stable enough to
withstand the forces exerted by the sun
shade and the balcony base. Consult a
qualified professional to be sure.
Always position the balcony base right
next to the balcony railing and always se-
cure it with the enclosed hook and loop
strip. Otherwise the balcony base will not
be secure and could slip or tip over.
Only use sun shades weighing no more
than 15 kg in combination with this bal-
cony base.
Only use middle-pole shades in combi-
nation with this balcony base.
The insertion depth of the pole must at
least amount to 200 mm.
Proper use
The balcony base is suitable for use as a
stand for sun shades with a pole diame-
ter of no more than 48 mm.
The balcony base is intended for domes-
tic use only. It is not suitable for commer-
cial use.
Before you use the balcony base, please
first carefully read through the safety in-
structions. Only in this way will you be
able to use the balcony base in a safe
and reliable manner.
It is imperative that you observe the na-
tional regulations in force in your country
which also apply in addition to the regu-
lations in this manual.
Mounting the stand tube
(The mounting process for the models
85897KBN and 85897KBNRO is exact-
ly the same. For the sake of clarity, it is
shown using the example of 85897KBN.)
You will need:
– the enclosed socket wrench
– the help of 1 person
Please note: Before you start assembly,
you should lightly grease the screw 4.
1. Lift the balcony base and place it up-
right on one of its lateral surfaces (see
figure A).
Have a second person hold it in
place!
2. Slip the snap ring 3, shim 2 and small
rubber disc 1 over the screw 4 (see
figure A).
3. Run the screw 4 through the balcony
base from the bottom (see figure A).
4. Push the large rubber disc 5 on top of
the balcony base over the thread of
the screw 4 (see figure A).
5. Screw the threaded hole of the stand
tube 6 onto the screw 4 and tighten it
(see figure A).
6. Carefully tilt the balcony base back
down to the ground.
