4. Operation
4.1 Charging the battery (Fig. 2)
The battery charger can be used to charge a ma-
ximum of four rechargeable batteries. By charging
independently you can also charge diff erent bat-
teries (e.g.: 2.0 Ah; 4.0 Ah; 3.0 Ah and 5.2 Ah) for
the charging times stated on the charger.
However, a maximum of only two rechargeable
batteries can be charged simultaneously.
1. Pull the battery pack (3) out of the equipment,
pressing the pushlock button (4) to do so.
2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as
that marked on the rating plate of the battery
charger. Insert the power plug of the charger
(1) into the socket outlet. The green LEDs will
then begin to fl ash.

Customer service:
Please fi nd contact information within the
separate service booklet.
Timely recharging of the battery will help it serve
you well for a long time. You must recharge the
battery pack when you notice that the power of
the cordless equipment drops.
4.2 Charging four rechargeable batteries
(Fig. 3)
When four batteries are inserted, only two oppo-
site lying batteries (parallel or diagonal) will be
charged. See Fig. 3.
When this pair of batteries has been fully char-
ged, the charging of the other pair of batteries will
start.
Which pair is charged fi rst is indicated by the yel-
low LED and is dependent on the order in which
they are inserted.
When the yellow LED fl ashes, the rechargeable
battery/pair of rechargeable batteries is in the
queue.
When the yellow LED is lit up, the rechargeable
battery/pair of rechargeable batteries will be char-
ged in accordance with the red and green LED in
section 8 entitled "Charger indicator".
4.3 Charging two rechargeable batteries si-
multaneously (Figs. 4-6)
If you want to charge only two rechargeable batte-
ries simultaneously, you can do so only if there is
one rechargeable battery on each side, as shown
in Fig. 4, 5 and 6. In other words, diagonal or op-
posite to each other.
