13.
Installing the escutcheon and showerhead:
a. Position escutcheon (E) on installation plate with
drain hole at the bottom.
b. Install the showerhead (C) to the end of the
shower arm (B) by twisting in a clockwise direction.
Hand-tighten only.
14a. Installing the handle:
First check that the cartridge is fully closed and set
to cold (both stem sections fully rotated clockwise).
Use the provided plastic template tool by clipping it
onto the handle assembly. The handle assembly is
now aligned in order to thread the handle assembly
clockwise onto the bonnet of the valve body. As
shown in Fig.1.
NOTE: before installing the handle assembly, point
the pressure handle (1) vertically downward.
Alternative method if the template tool is accidentally
discarded:
Before installing the handle assembly, point the
pressure handle (1) and temperature handle (2) both
vertically downward. Place the handle assembly
over the cartridge aligning the threaded section with
the bonnet, and the large stem section will begin to
engage. While applying some pressure, and keeping
the pressure handle downward begin to rotate the
temperature handle counterclockwise towards 45°.
You will hear a click and feel a slight pop inwards,
meaning the cartridge temperature stem is now
engaged. The handle assembly is ready to be
threaded on. As shown in Fig.2.
