1.12 A new safety device which conforms to current standards (EN 1487 in
Europe), pressure 0.7 or 0.8 MPa (7 or 8 bar) and size ½" or ¾" in diameter
must be fitted. The safety valve must be protected from frost.
1.13 The pressure relief valve drainage device must be activated on a regular
basis in order to remove limescale deposits and to check that it is not blocked.
1.14 A pressure reducer (not supplied) is required if the supply pressure is
greater than 0.5 MPa (5 bar) and will be installed on the main supply pipe.
1.15 Connect the safety unit to a discharge pipe, kept in the open air, in a
frost-free environment, continuously sloping downwards to drain off the heat-
expanded water or to allow for drainage of the water heater.
1.16 The working pressure of the heat exchanger circuit must not exceed 0.3
MPa (3 bar), its temperature must not exceed 100°C.
1.17 DRAIN: Turn off the power and cold water supply, open the hot water
taps then operate the drainage valve of the safety device.
1.18 NOTE: For water heaters under sinks, disconnect the hydraulic unit and
turn it upside down to drain.
1.19 Be sure to turn off the power before removing the cover, to prevent any
risk of injury or electric shock.
1.20 Upstream of the appliance, the electrical installation must have an all-
pole cut-out device (circuit-breaker, fuse) compliant with the local installation
rules in force (30 mA residual current device).
1.21 If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a cable or a special
pack available from the manufacturer or the After-Sales service.
1.22 If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its After-Sales service or a similarly qualified professional to prevent any
hazards.
1.23 Split models: Refer to the wiring diagrams figures 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 p.3
1.24 Earthing is mandatory. A special terminal marked
is provided for this
purpose.
1.25 Products including a battery: There is a risk of explosion if the battery is
replaced with an incorrect battery. Dispose of used batteries in accordance
with local regulations.
1.26 The user manual for this appliance can be obtained from the After-Sales
service.
1.27 These appliances comply with directives 2014/30/EU relating to
electromagnetic compatibility, 2014/35/EU relating to low voltage, 2015/863/
EU and 2017/2102/EU relating to ROHS and 2013/814/ EU which completes
directive 2009/125/EC relating to ecodesign.
1.28 Regularly check there are no leaks in the pipework.
