If Hampton or its representative determines, in its sole discretion, that it is impractical to ship the damaged equipment to Hampton or its representative, Hampton or its
representative may designate, in its sole discretion, an equipment repair facility to inspect and estimate the cost to repair such equipment. The cost, if any, of shipping the
equipment to and from such repair facility and of such estimate shall be borne solely by the purchaser. Damaged equipment must remain available for inspection until the
claim is finalized. Whenever claims are settled, Hampton or its representative reserves the right of subrogation under any existing insurance policies the claimant may have.
All warranties contained herein are null and void if: the Brink's Timer with Surge Protection in use during the Occurrence is not provided to Hampton or its representative for
inspection upon Hampton's or its representative's request at the sole expense of the purchaser; Hampton or its representative determines that the Timer with Surge
Protection has been improperly installed, altered in any way or tampered with; Hampton or its representative determines that the damage did not result from the
Occurrence or that no Occurrence in fact took place; the repair or replacement of the damaged equipment is covered under a manufacturer's warranty; or Hampton or its
representative determines that the connected equipment was not used under normal operating conditions or in accordance with any labels or instructions. All Brink's Timer
with Surge Protection must be plugged directly into the AC power supply source and must not be "daisy-chained" together in serial fashion with other power strips,
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), other surge protectors or extension cords. A three-to-two prong adaptor may not be used. Any such installation voids this warranty.
The Hampton Connected Equipment Warranty only protects against damage to properly connected equipment where Hampton or its representative has determined, in its
sole discretion, that the damage resulted from an Occurrence, and does not protect against acts of God (other than lightning) such as flood, earthquake, war, vandalism,
theft, normal-use wear and tear, erosion, depletion, obsolescence, abuse, damage due to low voltage disturbances (i.e. brownouts or sags), non-authorized program, or
system equipment modification or alteration. If you are using an AC surge protector only that does not have phone, network, or coaxial protection, the warranty is null and
void if a power disturbance damages your equipment through the phone, network, or coaxial lines. You are only covered if the disturbance entered through the AC power
lines. Do not use this product in any way with a generator, heater, sump pump, aquariums or any other water-related devices, life support device, medical device, car,
motorcycle, or golf-cart battery charger. To be used indoors only and in dry locations. All warranties contained herein are null and void if used in any way with any of the
aforementioned devices.
The surge protection device in this product is designed to sacrifice itself in order to save equipment connected to it. Surge protection devices are designed to eliminate
disrupting effects of momentary (less than 1 ns) voltage spikes or impulses from lightning or other power transients. If it can be shown that a voltage spike lasting longer
than 1 ns has occurred, the Occurrence will be deemed outside the rated capabilities of the surge protection device and the warranty is void. In such an instance the surge
protection device has performed its duty and you need to purchase a new unit to replace the expired unit.
The surge protection device in this product is not designed to protect against sustained low voltage situations. Sustained low voltage situations can cause damage to
some connected equipment. If you are in an area prone to sustained low voltage situations, it is recommended you install an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with surge
protection. The Brink's Timer with Surge Protection must not be plugged into a UPS device under any circumstances.
In lifetime connected equipment warranties, "lifetime" is defined as the time until an event occurs (transient surge or spike) that causes damage to the connected equipment
to a maximum life of 5 years from date of purchase. The surge protections portion of the device will have performed its duty, and a new protector device must be
purchased to replace the former device.
This warranty contains the sole warranty of Hampton in respect to connected equipment; there are no other warranties, expressed or, except as required by law, implied,
including the implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or condition of quality. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied
warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
In no event shall Hampton be liable for incidental, special, direct, indirect, consequential or multiple damages such as, but not limited to, lost business or profits arising out
of the sale or use of any Brink's Timer with Surge Protection, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may
also have other rights, which may vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage, so the above
limitations may not apply to you.
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser of the product. All damage claims against the product must be made within 15 days from the date of the Occurrence
and must be accompanied by a receipt for the damaged equipment or the warranty is void. Warranty is valid ONLY in USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
