12.3 Danger of burns
The device and the heated water in the device can become
very hot. Observe the following safety instructions and be
careful not to burn or scald yourself or others:
► Hot steam is created during cooking. Do not touch the
spout and do not open the lid of the device during and
immediately after cooking
► Take care that you do not have contact with the escaping
hot steam!
► Pour out hot water slowly and carefully. Risk of scalding.
► Do not move the device when it is switched on.
► Be cautious when moving the pot containing hot water to
avoid being scalded.
► Always ensure the lid is firmly closed and do not open the
lid while water is boiling, to avoid being scalded.
► Do not fill the device over the "max"-marking (1.7 l).
►
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
► Incorrect use of appliance may cause serious burns,
therefore, attention shall be taken.
► Do not touch the pot directly after using it. Residual heat
can cause burns!
12.4 Dangers due to electrical power
Danger
Mortal danger due to electrical power!
Mortal danger exists when coming into contact with live wires
or subassemblies! Observe the following safety notices to
