- Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, as they may explode.
- Do not open or damage the battery/batteries. The released electrolyte is
harmful to skin and eyes. It may be toxic.
- A battery can present a risk of electric shock and high short-circuit cu-
rrents. The following precautions should be observed when working with
batteries:
- Remove watches, rings, or other metallic objects from hands.
- Use tools with insulated handles.
- Wear gloves and rubber boots.
- Do not place tools or metallic parts on the batteries.
- Disconnect the charging source before connecting or disconnecting bat-
tery terminals.
- Battery maintenance should be performed or supervised by personnel fa-
miliar with batteries and necessary precautions. Keep unauthorized per-
sonnel away from batteries.
- When replacing batteries, replace them with the same number and type
of sealed lead-acid battery. The maximum ambient temperature is 40°C.
- This plug-in type A equipment with pre-installed battery by the supplier is
installable by the operator and can be operated by non-specialized per-
sonnel.
- When installing this equipment, ensure that the sum of the leakage cu-
rrents of the UPS and the connected loads does not exceed 3.5 mA.
- Attention, danger of electric shock. Even when disconnecting this unit from
the mains, hazardous voltage may still be accessible through battery su-
pply. Therefore, battery supply must be disconnected at the positive and
negative poles of the battery when maintenance or service work inside the
UPS is required.
- The mains socket supplying the UPS should be installed near the UPS and
be easily accessible.
