Charging the built-in
battery
Before you use your radio for the first time, you
need to charge the battery, which will take
approximately 4 hours. From a full charge you will
be able to listen to your radio continuously for
approximately 12 hours at 50% volume.
The included charging cable is a USB-C type. Plug
one end of the charging cable into the USB-C
socket on the right hand side of the portable
radio. Plug the other end into a computer or other
USB-C device or power adapter. In addition to
the charging cable, there is a USB-C to Micro USB
adapter which allows a Micro USB power adapter
to charge the radio. The display will read, <SHARP,
sharpconsumer.eu> and then your radio will go
into Standby mode with a clock display.
NOTE: If the battery is completely exhausted, you
will need to charge it a short while to display the
battery status information.
Initial set-up
Fully extend the radio's telescopic antenna. This
maximises signal strength during the station scan.
Briefly press the
power up and initiate an automatic station scan.
A progress bar will display the scan's progress. The
number of stations found will also appear on the
screen. The automatic scan will be powered by
BestTune™, which is the radios default mode.
After the scan, the radio will automatically tune
into the first station it finds and start playing.
Stations are sorted by number first, then
alphabetically by default.
NOTE: The list of radio stations is saved in the
device's memory. Therefore, the radio won't scan for
stations each time you turn it on.
