frequently
and adjust the chain t ension

TO REPLACE
CHAIN:
1. Disconnect
unit f rom power source.
2. Remove barclamp nuts.
3. Remove barclamp.
4. Turn adjusting screw onthe bar
counterclockwise
tomove t he
tensioning
rack asfarasitwill g o
toward the front ofthebar.

5. Slide g uide b ar t oward the drive
sprocket until guide b ar s tops
against the sprocket.
6. Remove
the oldchain.
7. Carefully remove the new chain
from thepackage. Hold c hain w ith
the drive l inks a sshown.

8. Place the chain around the sprock-
et and fit the drive links into the
guide bar groove and then into the
teeth of the sprocket
in the tip of
the guide bar.
9.
Pull guide
bar forward
until the
chain is snug in the guide
bar
groove.
Ensure
all drive links are
in the bar groove.
10. Install the bar clamp.
11. Install bar clamp
nuts; finger tight-
en only. Do not tighten any further
at this point. Proceed to CHAIN AD-
JUSTMENT.
