Water Softener Troubleshooting:
WHAT KIND OF SALT IS BEST?
All Water2buy ™ water softeners are designed to use any water
softeners salt of good quality, including "rock," "pellet," "solar," or
"evaporated" types. All rock salt, regardless of source, contains
insoluble material, which collects at the bottom of the salt storage
tank and requires periodic clean out.
If purified salt products are used, the salt storage compartment will
require less frequent clean out, but you must check more frequently
to prevent a "bridging" problem.
HOW MUCH SALT SHOULD I PUT INTO THE BRINE
TANK?
Salt levels need to be maintained at approximately 100mm above
the bottom of the tank and 50mm from the top of the tank.
