b. Repair by inserting an insert thread: this procedure can be carried out on the
vehicle, but ideally to prevent debris entering the engine the cylinder head
should be removed.
STEP 1 - Determine the size of the thread that has to be repaired and insert the driver through it
(11/12).
M8 x 1.0 M10 x 1.0
STEP 2 - Assemble it as shown below:
Make sure tools are safe, none around the engine and stored in a dry and childproof location.

1. Place the insert thread
in the right driver.
2. Introduce the insert
thread in the glow plug
aperture.
