3.1. Measure engine revolutions:

3.3. Check ignition firing point (basic setting):

Pull the troboscopic lamp out of the holder and aim it on the
crankshaft pulley or on the fan wheel and switch on with

The firing point.is then correctly set, when the marking on the
rotating part aligns with the stationary reference mark.

The knurled wheel
(2 has no function during this measuring
operation.
3.4. Measure ignition advance angle:
Before measuring the ignition advance angle the firing point
(3.3.) is to be checked and if necessary corrected.

Set the engine revolutions (for centrifugal advance) or vacuum
