ADSL Ethernet Modem

What You Need to Begin
You must verify that you have the following before you begin:
• A 10/100 Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC) installed on your computer.
• An active DSL Internet account
• A line filter may be required for each telephone that will share a line with the ADSL modem. Make
sure there is no filter installed between the ADSL modem and the phone wall jack. Microfilters may
be supplied by your DSL Internet Service Provider.

The function of each LED is described below:
The PWR LED will be illuminated when power is applied to the ADSL modem.
The ALM LED will be illuminated when an error occurs.
The LAN LED will be illuminated when there is an Ethernet connection between the ADSL modem and your computer
and will be blinking when there is Ethernet traffic.
The DSL LED will be illuminated when there is an ADSL connection between the ADSL modem and the phone wall
jack or will be blinking when there is ADSL traffic.
Note:
All the LEDs will be illuminated for approximately 30 seconds when you power on or reboot the ADSL modem.
Back View
The PWR jack is the power inlet for the ADSL modem.
The ENET port is used to connect the ADSL modem to the Ethernet port of the Ethernet card in your PC.
The CONSOLE port is used to connect the ADSL modem to the serial port on your computer for optional configura-
tion.
The DSL port is used to connect the ADSL modem to your phone wall jack.
