ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Connection to the compressed air line
1. Connect the air hose coupling (6) to the air inlet (3);
2. Attach the coupling to the air hose.
Installing/removing the velcro pad
The thread of the Velcro pad's bolt must match the thread of
the shaft. Otherwise, the pad will rotate unevenly and there will
be excessive vibration which could cause loss of control of the
appliance.
1. Place the supplied wrench on the shaft nut;
2. Screw the velcro pad bolt (5) onto the thread of the shaft;
3. Hold the shaft steady and tighten the velcro pad by hand;
To remove the velcro pad:
4. Place the supplied wrench on the shaft nut, hold the shaft
steady and unscrew the velcro pad.
Fitting the sanding disc
Do not use sanding discs that are larger than the appliance's
technical specifications. When selecting the discs, follow the
appliance's technical specifications. Sanding discs that are larger
than the Velcro pads, can cause jamming, resulting in loss of
control.
1. Adjust the sanding disc over the Velcro pad (5);
2. To fix the disc on the pad, press on the entire area of the disc;
To change the sanding disc:
3. Remove part of the disc, hold the pad with the other hand
and then completely remove the disc. This procedure
increases the Velcro pad's service life.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
While operating the pneumatic tool, certain precautions and
procedures must be observed to avoid loss of control of the
tool, damage to the working area and injury to the user:
▪ Accessories and rotating parts must be able to run at least at
the rotation speed of the air sander. If this is not the case,
the accessories and rotating parts may become damaged;
▪ Use original VITO Velcro pads and sanding discs. Accessories
from other manufacturers are not suitable, may cause
unbalancing, excessive vibration and may cause loss of
control of the appliance.
▪ Never put the appliance down before it has completely
stopped. The pad/disc may contact the work surface, causing
you to lose control;
▪ Do not touch the pad/disc to the workpiece while the sander
is running. Touch it first, only then press the ON/OFF switch.
▪ Never use the sander with the pad in an inclined position;
▪ Move the appliance in the direction of rotation of the Velcro
pad;
▪ Never use damaged sanding discs.
Start and stop
Check the working pressure and adjust in accordance with
the technical data (Pmax < 6.2 bar).
1. To switch the sander on, press the "ON/OFF" switch (1) with
the palm of your hand and keep it pressed during use);
2. To switch off, release the "ON/OFF" switch.
Always keep the Velcro pad/sanding disc parallel to the
work surface during operation.
Rotation speed adjustment
The speed of rotation is adjusted by means of the airflow control
valve (2).
1. The maximum rotation speed is reached when the control
valve with "MAX" marking is pointing to the air inlet;
2. The minimum rotation speed is reached when the control
valve with "MAX" marking is perpendicular to the air inlet.
