1. Explanation of warning symbols and notes
Warning
This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your attention to
speci c hazards and risks.
Note
This symbol is used to indicate additional information or important notes.

3. Safety instructions
• The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry
environments only.
• Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
• Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service
work to quali ed experts.
• Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
• Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children due to the risk of
suffocation.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally
applicable regulations.
• Use the product only for the intended purpose.
• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or
in direct sunlight.
• Do not operate the product outside the power limits speci ed in the technical data.
• Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
• Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
Warning - batteries / button cells
• When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and - markings) and insert
the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking
or exploding.
• Only use batteries that match the speci ed type. Keep the instructions for the
correct choice of batteries included with the operating instructions of devices
safe for future reference.
• Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polarity
contacts.
• Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
• Replace all the batteries in a set at the same time.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different
manufacturers.
• Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended
period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not charge batteries.
• Do not burn batteries or heat them up.
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the
environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
• Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.
• Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low
atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
• Ensure that batteries with damaged housings do not come into contact with
water.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not swallow batteries or button cells. Burning hazard from hazardous
substances.

Warning - batteries / button cells
• If the battery compartment will no longer close securely, stop using the product
and keep it away from children.
• This product contains button cells. If the button cell is swallowed, serious
internal burns can occur within 2 hours and ultimately lead
to death.
• If you suspect that a button cell has been swallowed or is in any
part of the body, seek medical attention immediately.
• Keep new and used button cells out of the reach of children.
4. Start-up and operation
• Open the battery compartment cover, insert 2 AA Mignon batteries observing the
correct polarity and then close the battery compartment cover again. The clock is
ready for operation.
• Setting of the time
• Turn the hour / minutes setting clockwise. To set the seconds, remove the batteries
to stop the seconds and reinsert the batteries to restart the second hand at the
correct second.
5. Alarm clock settings
• Turn the setting wheel
on the back of the alarm clock in the direction of the
arrow to set the desired alarm time.
The pointer for the alarm time moves anti-clockwise.
• Move the slider switch to the ON or OFF position to activate / deactivate the alarm.
Note
The time is accurate to within a few minutes over the course of a year. If sudden
uctuations occur in the time display, change the batteries.
6. Installation
You can place the clock on a level surface or alternatively mount it on a wall using
the cut-out on the back.
Warning - Installation instructions
• Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight
to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other
lines running through the wall at the mounting site.
• Obtain suitable attachment material from specialist retailers.
• Do not mount the product above locations where persons might sit or stand.
