Vibration may be harmful to hands and arms.
Insert tools with a bent shank should not be used.
Use vibration damped tools when available.
Reduce time of exposure to vibration.
Inhalation of oil mist from exhaust may be harm-
ful, use only recommended lubricants.
Dust and fumes generated during operation may be
harmful.
Use spot suction or breathing apparatus.

Maintenance
Follow instructions for lubrication, cleaning and
overhaul given in the written instructions supplied
with the machine.
Make sure that service personnel are trained.
Take special care concerning dismantling and as-
sembly of speed governors and overspeed shut off
devices.
Always check the free speed after service.
Use genuine Atlas Copco replacement kits and
parts only.

Make sure you are familiar with the operating in-
structions before you use this machine.
This machine, its attachments and accessories must
only be used for the purpose for which they were
designed. Never use mounted wheels or grinding
wheels.
For product liability and safety reasons any modi-
fication to the machine, its attachments or acces-
sories must be agreed in advance with an autho-
rized technical representative of the manufacturer.

To prevent personal injury and long time risks:
• Familiarize yourself with the enclosed leaflet
"General Safety Instructions for Die Grinders".
• Before making any adjustments to the machine,
e.g. changing an accessory, please ensure that
the air supply is disconnected.
• Check the free speed of the machine at regular
intervals and whenever the machine has been
serviced. This check should be carried out with
the grinding equipment detached.
The maximum permissible speed as marked on
the machine must not be exceeded.
• The cutting tool must be approved for the rated
speed of the machine.
• Avoid finger injuries – if the extraction ports
of the machine are clogged, switch the machine
off and allow the cutting tool to come to a com-
plete halt before removing the chips.

Installation of vibrating tools
It is recommended that a minimum length of 300
mm of flexible hose for compressed air is inserted
between a vibrating tool and the quick-action cou-
pling.
