7. Troubleshooting
Problem / Symptom
Buzz in audio system
Television interference
Low output voltage on voltmeter (192-208Vac)
Low output voltage and current indicator in
red zone
No output voltage & voltage indicator in red
zone
Not output voltage, no voltage indication
No output voltage ; voltage indicator in upper
red zone
Permanent low battery alarm ; voltage
indicator below 11V
No output voltage, overheat indicator on,
load >3000W or 250A input current
No output voltage ; overload indicator on
8. Maintenance
Your PI3000B & M requires very little maintenance. Clean the exterior periodically with a damp cloth to prevent dust
and dirt accumulation. Clear the air intake on the rear panel and air exhaust slots on the front panel especially. A
regular maintenance check is recommended, and all visible screws on the unit should be tightened periodically.

PI3000B & M 12V
Possible Cause
Power supply in audio system does not filter
modified sine wave
Inverter is not (well) grounded
Other high power loads are operating
Bad antenna signal or bad antenna cable
Television too close to inverter
DC cable radiated interference
Average reading voltmeter is used
Overload
Low input voltage
Inverter switched off
No power to inverter
Internal fuse open
Reversed DC polarity
High input voltage
Poor DC wiring, poor battery
Thermal shutdown
Short circuit or wiring error
Very high power load

Use audio system with higher quality power
supply
Make sure the inverter is well grounded
Switch off high power loads
Verify signal and cable quality
Move the TV set away from the inverter
Keep DC cables as short as possible
Use true RMS reading voltmeter
Reduce the load
Recharge battery, check connections and
cables
Switch inverter on
Check wiring to inverter, check battery fuse
Have a technician check and replace
Have a technician check the fuse ;
OBSERVE CORRECT POLARITY
Make sure you are using a 12V battery ;
check regulation of charging system.
Check (& replace) cables and connections,
replace or recharge battery.
Allow inverter to cool down. Reduce load if
continuous operation is required
Improve ventilation, make sure ventilation
openings are not obstructed, reduce ambient
temperature
Check AC wiring for short circuit or improper
polarity
Remove or reduce load
