2. SAFETY

Before use, read the manual and safety information carefully. The supplier is not
responsible for failure to follow the safety information on the use and handling of the
product or damage to property or personal injury.
Always observe the following precautions when using 'the Massager', hereinafter
referred to as 'the product'.
2.1 General
•
If this is your first time using the product, it is important to read the user manual
and instructions carefully.
•
If the product is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged, do not use the product
and consult our customer service.
•
Before each use, check the parts and accessories for damage or wear (cracks/
breakage) that may adversely affect its operation and, if so, replace them with
original or manufacturer-recommended parts and accessories.
•
Do not use accessories not offered by the supplier. They may pose a danger to
the user and damage the product.
•
Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this user manual.
•
Do not disassemble, repair or restore the product. Doing so may cause damage
to the product. For your own safety, these parts should only be replaced by
authorized service personnel. Always steer the product to a service center for
repairs to prevent damage and personal injury.
•
Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with improper use of the
product. Misuse of the product may result in personal injury and damage to the
product.
•
Before first use, remove all packaging material and any stickers.
•
The product is designed and intended for private use. Do not use the product
for commercial purposes.
•
Keep the product away from heat, areas where the temperature is relatively high
and heat sources such as ovens.
•
Do not insert objects into the openings of the product. Make sure that the
moving parts are not blocked and that nothing is trapped.

2.2 People
•
Keep the product and cord out of the reach of children.
•
Do not let pets or small children chew on the power cord to avoid electric shock.
•
Do not allow children to play with the product. Use and store the product out of
the reach of children.
•
The product should not be used by children under 8 years of age. Use of the
product is allowed only when a supervisor is present and responsible for the
safety of the user.
•
The product must not be used by people with physical or mental disabilities. Use
of the product is permitted only if a supervisor is present who is responsible for
the safety of the user.
2.3 Use
•
Do not cover the product when it is on. Never place pillows or blankets on or
against the product. This may cause a fire hazard, electric shock, personal injury
or damage to the product.
•
Parts of the product become hot. Do not clean the product while it is still hot.
Wait until the product has cooled down before cleaning it.
•
Do not use the product near a bathtub, shower, swimming pool, or near a
(laundry) tub filled with water. Do not touch the product or power cord with
wet hands. Do not allow the product to come into contact with water. Do not
immerse the product in water. If water does get in or on the product, turn the
product off immediately and contact our customer service department.
•
Do not use the product for more than 15 minutes at a time.
2.4 Medical remarks
•
Consult a physician before using the product if you have unexplained pain, are
undergoing medical treatment, or are using medical equipment.
•
Do not use the product or consult a physician: if you are pregnant; if you have
a pacemaker or other electronic implants; artificial joints, high blood pressure,
heart disease; cerebral atherosclerosis, cerebral thrombosis, bone fractures,
malignant tumors, circulation problems, varicose veins, open wounds, bruises,
broken skin, inflammation of the veins, jaundice, diabetes, nervous disorders,
acute inflammation or other health problems; during or immediately after
major exertion; immediately after showering, taking a bath, or after the sauna;
if you have been drinking alcohol; during or immediately after eating; if you
have a fever; if you are in unexplained pain, undergoing medical treatment, or
using medical equipment; if you have one or more of the following conditions:
circulation problems, varicose veins, open wounds, bruises, broken skin,
inflammation of the veins.
•
If you experience pain or discomfort while using the product, stop immediately
and consult your physician.
