To ensure the e ciency and long life of your water heater, we recommend to keep your
appliance in perfect state, clean the resistance every two years approx. If the appliance
uses water that is characterized with high hardness, clean them more frequently (1 year),
or we recommend the use of a water softener.
The use of decalcifying liquid is recommended, but if not used, the resistance can be
cleaned by removing the crusted lime, taking special care not to damage the resistance
shell.
The magnesium anodes (see Fig. 1) must be replaced every two years, if not, the warranty
is invalid. With aggressive water, or water high in chlorides, checking the state of the
anode is recommended once a year. To replace it, the resistance must be removed and
unscrewed from the securing clamp.

Emptying the Appliance
Empty the appliance as indicated here (see Fig. 7):

Close the cold-water inlet valve.
2.
Open the hot water tap (sink or shower).
3.
Drain the heater by raising the relief valve lever (Closed System), or if a drain valve is
installed (Open System), open it, until all the water comes out of the heater.
