Make absolutely sure that the crocodile clips do not touch one another once your charger is plugged into the
•
mains – danger of short circuit!
Additional safety measures
Avoid open flames, as charging lead-acid batteries generates flammable gases.
•
Always use the charger in a well-ventilated place. Do not use your charger in a vehicle or under a closed
•
bonnet or hood.
Do not cover the charger, this may lead to overheating and result in damages. Never set the charger up for
•
operation on a surface that is insulating (e.g. polystyrene). There is a risk of heat build up!
First, attach the crocodile clips to the battery terminals, then plug your charger into the mains.
•
To stop charging, first disconnect the power plug and then the crocodile clips from the battery terminals.
•
Do not allow any battery acid to reach your clothes or skin. If this should happen, rinse out the surfaces
•
affected with copious amounts of water. Immediately seek medical assistance if battery acid enters your eye.

Functions
The charger is suitable for batteries with a capacity of 1,2-120 Ah. It is equipped with a micro-processor. Use the
MODE key to select one of the below mentioned charging modes depending on battery type, battery condition and
environmental conditions. Once you have selected a charging mode, the charger will automatically detect the
connected battery (voltage, capacity, charge status) and calculate the necessary charging parameters (charging
voltage and current). If you select a charging mode unsuitable for the connected battery, or if the battery is
defective or incorrectly connected, the charger will not charge and the fault icon will appear.
