© The following phenomenon occurs when using the JX-ED11. Be sure to read the following.

e In the following cases, the SET indicator blinks rapidly
(approx. 4 times a second), indicating an error.
1. While memorizing remote-control signals:
@ When trying to memorize remote-control signals
which are incompatible with the JX-ED11.

e Such a VCR cannot be used with the JX-ED11.
@When a button other than playback VCR/
camcorder control buttons is mistakenly pressed
after the SET button in the playback VCR/
camcorder area is pressed.

e Select and press one of the playback VCR/
camcorder control buttons, or...
e Press the SET button on the required side,
then re-do the operation.
@ When a button other than recording VCR control
buttons is mistakenly pressed after the SET
button in the recording VCR area is pressed.
@ Select and press one of the recording VCR/
camcorder control buttons, or...
e Press the SET button on the required side,
then re-do the operation.
@ Memory becomes full.

e@ Perform memorizing operation again, after
initializing the memory contents using the
RESET button in the battery compartment of
the JX-ED11. (See page 6.)
2. During normal operation:
@ When any button (including SET button) on the
JX-ED11 is pressed.

© Batteries are exhausted.
e Replace the batteries with new ones.
@ The same codes are set for both playback and
recording VCR control buttons.
e Press the SET button and set the different
codes for each.
Automatic Release While In Setup Mode
@ If operation is performed for a certain period of time
while memorizing remote-control signals, recalling the
preset code, etc., the setup mode will be released
automatically, as follows.
1. After pressing the SET button...
@ No button is pressed within 30 seconds

e@ Normal operation mode resumes.

2. After the required button is pressed during
memorizing operation...
@ No button is pressed within 30 seconds

@ Normal operation mode resumes.
e In this case, perform memorizing operation from
the beginning.
How To Change Process Time For EDIT
CHECK Operation
@ In the initial condition, when the JX-ED11's EDIT
CHECK button is pressed, more than 5 seconds
elapse before the recording VCR enters reverse
shuttle mode. If your VCR responds more quickly
(mode transition time is shorter), you can reduce the
time required for transition to the reverse shuttle
mode by performing the following setting.
EDIT STOP

Remove batteries
then insert.
While holding
EDIT STOP...
To return to the initial setting, remove the batteries
and tap the EDIT CHECK button, then insert the
batteries again.
