Optimising motion detection
•
The camera's passive infrared motion sensor
detects heat signatures of moving objects.
•
You'll generally get good detection results by
pointing the camera at an angle where people will
be moving across the coverage area (i.e., from left
to right or right to left, as shown in the figure on
the right). The motion sensor is less sensitive to the
movement of people walking towards it.
•
Avoid aiming the camera at areas surrounded by large trees and bushes that sway a lot in the
wind, as this may cause false alerts during extreme weather conditions.
The camera's motion detection sensitivity is adjustable via the Detection Settings menu in the
•
app. As every home environment is unique, we recommend experimenting with the motion sensor
sensitivity settings to find out which works best for your environment.
•
You can adjust the angle of the floodlights to illuminate the desired areas when motion is detected
at night.
You can also customise how long the floodlights will stay on after a motion event via the Detection
•
Settings menu in the app. You can choose from as short as 30 seconds to as long as 5 minutes.
