2. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
LumiPlus Flexi has been designed to be used fully submerged in water. It is a Class III electric appliance with very low
safety voltage (12 V with alternating current). The lamp is class 116, in accordance with standard EN 50065.
LumiPlus Flexi is compliant with an IP code rating of IPX8-2 m.
Maximum installation depth: 0.7 metres from the water surface.
LumiPlus Flexi complies with international lighting safety standards, in particular with standard EN 60598-2-18:
LUMINAIRES - PART 2: PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS. SECTION 18: LUMINAIRES FOR SWIMMING POOLS AND
SIMILAR APPLIANCES.
Under no circumstances may the manufacturer be held liable for the assembly, installation or start-up of any electrical
components that have not been installed in their facilities.
3. INSTALLATION:
- For correct swimming pool lighting, the following is recommended: Install one LumiPlus Flexi for every 20-25 m² of
water surface.
NOTE: Recommendations valid for light-coloured pools. In dark-coloured or stainless steel pools, it is recommended to
increase the number of lights per m
• It is the service engineer's responsibility to ensure that the connector area is perfectly watertight. Make sure that the
gland rubber grips the cable rubber
• Junction boxes must be at least 2 m from the edge of the pool or water installation.
• The 230/12V transformer that powers the LumiPlus Flexi must be installed at a distance of 3.5 m from the edge of
the pool or water installation.
• Pipes installed less than 3.5 m from the edge of the pool must not have a metal liner or cover.
• The minimum cable cross-section supported by LumiPlus Flexi is 2x1mm² H07RN-F.
• The maximum cable cross-section supported by LumiPlus FlexiNiche and FlexiRapid is 2x2.5 mm H07RN-F. The
maximum cable cross-section supported by the Flexi Slim model is 2x1.5 mm² H07RN-F.
• If the cable cross-section is larger, it must be spliced underwater.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MUST A SCREW OTHER THAN THE ONE SUPPLIED BE USED TO FASTEN THE LUMIPLUS FLEXI
GLAND IN POSITION, AS IT COULD PENETRATE THE GLAND AND LET WATER IN.
