Thank you for buying this product. Our company is sure that you will be
more than satisfied with the product's performance.
Carefully read the "INSTRUCTION BOOKLET" which is supplied together
with this product, since they provide important information regarding the
safety, installation, use and maintenance of the product.
This product complies with recognised technical standards and safety
regulations. We declare that this product is in conformity with the following
European Directives: 89/336/EEC.
The device is with in the CEE 98/37 directives only if it is connected to a
control boarder made by the same manufactured. The control board has to
be provides with a circuit detecting faulty safety device (fig.3).
WARNING
When carrying out connection and installation operations always refer to
the current legislation in force, as well as to good technical principles.
1) General outline
FLCP2 (fig.1) is a safety device which can be used on sliding and swing
gates, roll-up doors, sliding and sectional doors. It is made up of a mod. CI
rubber edge and two electronic boards with appropriate sensors attached
to an aluminium section bar.
A special trimmer for adjustment of the operation sensitivity has been fitted
onto the FLCP2TX transmitter board.

3) Connections to terminal board (fig. 1)
WARNING! Before connecting the relay contacts to the fault finding
circuit read the instructions given below.
In the wiring diagrams contained in the instruction manuals of the control
units produced by the same manufacturer, the terminal board for the
FLCP2RX is represented by a terminal board of a generic photocell
(terminals 1-2-3-4-5).

4) Installation pre-arrangement
The aluminium section bars are supplied with standard lengths; it is
therefore necessary to cut them to the desired measure.
1) Place the section bar in its final position and block it temporarily.
2) Insert the fixing brackets into the slots and position them so that the
fold is in contact with the corresponding edges of the section bar
(see detail in fig.4).
3) Fix the necessary brackets (500 mm pitch) and withdraw the section bar.
4) Lubricate the inside of the aluminium section bar and insert the rubber
edge by sliding it in.
5) Re-position the section bar as described in point 1 and fasten it with two
screw at the ends; connect and assemble all the other components.
5) Assembly of device
The transmitter power cables must be inserted into the most internal
section of the edge (see fig.4 ref.7-14).
These cables together with the sensor cables should pass through the
rubber elements on the supports for FLCP2RX and FLCP2TX boards.
Insert the sensors into the special holes located at the ends of the

The board supports are fixed to the aluminium section bar and locked by the
two M5 dowels supplied (fig.4-ref.9-17).
Fixing of the supports by means of the M5 dowels must be carried out
before inserting the boards into the supports.
Mount the boards in the appropriate housings and connect the terminal
boards; then, close the supports with the covers supplied.
A spacer with a cable clamp has been fitted on the receiver side to allow
connection of the cables from the control unit.
If the device is installed on mobile parts (e.g. sectional doors), use
a flexible cable.
After mounting the boards into the supports, adjust the trimmer as described
in point 6 and close with the covers provided.
The special protections for closing the residual access holes to the M5
dowels can be fitted. The protections consist of a shield and two small plugs
for each support.
6) Trimmer adjustment
After connecting the device, adjust the appropriate trimmer (FLCP2TX) so
as to obtain the maximum operation sensitivity.
The sensitivity is increased by rotating the trimmer clockwise.
Position the trimmer anticlockwise, energise the device and increase the
sensitivity up to the desired value (refer to DL1; ON: aligned beam;
OFF:beam not aligned). If sensitivity is too high, the DL1 Led remains off.
