z Both supports must screw in to the minimum installation length. This
ensures that the trailer is lifted parallel to the ground.
z Align the supports vertically and parallel with one another.
z Depending on the installation size, cut the connection shaft to length.
Observe the permissible installation dimensions and tolerances of
8 ± 3 mm.
z Install the connection shaft. Avoid sluggishness due to twisting when
installing.
The connection and bracing for the spindle support device must be of an
adequate size and secured without tension.
We recommend stops above the mounting plate to relieve the fastening
screws.
Always install and use the holder for the crank handle.
After installation conduct a function test.
After the supports are installed correctly, they can move easily and touch
the ground at the same time.
Different loads on the supports cause damage!
If the components are not installed correctly the manufacturer and the
support of the spindle support device will not accept any claims under
the warranty.
6. OpERATION
Operation only by trained personal. Persons should keep off the working area.
To extend the spindle support device
z Park the trailer vehicle on firm, even ground and take care against
coasting (see the operating manual for the trailer vehicle).
z Check the support device for signs of damage, repair it before use if
necessary.
z Before activating the spindle support device swing the crank handle
out of its holder and engage it on the crankshaft.
z Switch to high gear:
Only move the load-free support device out and in quickly to
bridge the ground clearance.
z Pull out the crankshaft with the crank handle until the catch engages.
– A slight turning movement will make it easier to engage.
z Extend the spindle support device by turning the crank handle
anti-clockwise.
z Switch to low gear:
Switch from high gear to low gear before the foot reaches
the ground.
To raise and lower the loaded or unloaded trailer vehicle.
z Push the crankshaft in with the crank handle until the catch engages.
– A slight turning movement will make it easier to engage.
z Raise the semi-trailer to the required height and leave the crank
handle in low gear.
z At the end of the turning movement slowly relieve the strain on the crank
handle.There is a danger that the crank handle will jump backwards.
To retract the spindle support device
z Follow the above instructions in reverse.
z After coupling the trailer, fully retract the spindle support device only
in high gear mode.
watch for the lifting limit (the force required to turn the
crank handle rises).
