Troubleshooting
It can happen that your Astro-Planetarium doesn't work properly. That does not mean that there is something wrong with the machine! It is often the
case that a small detail was forgotten while you were setting up. For that reason, we have compiled the most common mistakes here so that you can
try to fi x the problem yourself.
Problem
I can't turn on the planeta-
rium.
The projected image is
distorted, not completely
round.
The projected image is
fuzzy.
The projected image is
showing fl ecks.

Possible Mistake
The batteries could be improperly
installed.
Maybe the batteries are empty.
Maybe the objective lens is not
perfectly parallel to the projection
surface (wall or ceiling).
The distance to the projection sur-
face (wall or ceiling) is perhaps too
small.
The focus may not be adjusted
properly.
The objective lens is dirty.
Check to see whether the batteries are placed in exactly the way described
in the instructions. Pay special attention to the directions of the terminals
(+/-).
Install new, unused batteries as directed in the instructions. Pay special
attention to the directions of the terminals (+/-).
Try to arrange the planetarium in the pedestal (9) so that the objective lens
is parallel to the projection surface.
The planetarium be at least 1.8 to 2 m away from the projection surface.
Check to see whether the distance is right and correct it if necessary.
Try to improve the focus of the image by turning the focus knob (8).
Clean the objective lens with a clean, lint-free cloth, as described in the
instructions.
