Safety instructions
Warning / Important
■
The tool together with any attachments or accessories, must never be used for anything other than
the designed purpose.
■
All locally legislated safety rules regarding installation, operation and maintenance shall be respected
at all times.
■
This product is only intended for industrial use and shall only be operated indoor in dry rooms. This
product must not be used in explosive atmospheres.
■
Only use power sockets.
■
Keep hands, long hair and other objects away from the rotating socket.
■
When using a suspension yoke, check that it is in good condition and correctly fastened.
■
Be prepared of the reaction force which will occur when the tool is used.
■
Make sure that the tool is in good working order and that the controller is correctly programmed be-
fore use to avoid unexpected behaviour from the tool which may result in operator injury.
■
ETD / ETP nutrunners are used together with a torque reaction bar. Please be aware of the rotational
direction of the spindle before starting the tool, the reaction force may work in an unexpected direc-
tion with risk of crush injuries.
■
Never put your hand near or close to the reaction bar while the tool is being used.
■
Check function of the earth fault protector and ground loop continuity on regular basis according in-
structions in the drive/ controller ASL.
■
Always keep the POWER FOCUS/drive unit locked.
■
Refer installation and servicing to qualified personnel only.
■
Do not attempt to disassemble your Serial Port Adapter. Doing so will void warranty. The product
does not contain customer servicable or replaceable components. Service should only be performed
by Atlas Copco Tools AB.
■
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the fastener
may contact hidden wiring. Fasteners contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of
the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
Battery tool use and care
■
Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
■
Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
■
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one termi-
nal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
■
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact ac-
cidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liq-
uid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
■
Disconnect battery pack from tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing
the tool.
■
Handle battery packs correctly. Ensure that the outside surface of battery pack or tool is clean and
dry before plugging into charger. Do not dispose of used battery packs in the general refuse or by
burning them. Disposal according to local regulations. Never break open battery packs and chargers
and store only in dry rooms. Keep dry at all times.
■
Battery machines give freedom from cable or hose but have a limited power- and energy capacity.
