Note: pour the water until it covers the grill tray (5). The bain-marie and grill tray prevent
excessive heat radiation in the area of the grill support surface.
Therefore you should always grill food using water and with the grill in place. Before first use,
fill the grill tray with water and use it for 15 minutes to remove the protective film from the
heating coil. Select the MAX thermostat position. The presence of smoke is normal. Make sure
that a sufficient level of ventilation is available.
Preheat the device before use for approximately 5 minutes.
Operating Instructions
• Insert the plug into a suitably installed socket with 230V/50Hz protection contact.
• Introduce 1.5 l of cold water up to the "MAX" mark in the trough.
• Set the thermostat for the desired use: a low or medium temperature for heating or cooling,
MAX. for quick cooking and grilling. The LED turns off when the desired temperature is
reached.
• Place the food directly on the grill. Never use plates, trays or aluminium foil under food. The
cooking time depends on the thickness of the food and the temperature set. Thick foods are
grilled more quickly by skewering them with metal skewers. Turn the food occasionally.
• The height of the grill can be varied. Please see illustration 2.
• If the water level drops below the MIN mark after continuous use, unplug it from the socket
and fill with water until it reaches the MAX mark. Do not pour cold water onto the hot heating
element. Otherwise this could be damaged.
Switching off: Position the thermostat on "0" and unplug it.
