Charging
NOTE: before first use (without cable), and
for every charging procedure afterwards,
charge the hair and beard trimmer 6 for ap-
prox. 90 minutes.
1. Place the battery charger 13 on a level
surface.
2. Connect the power unit 12 to the bat-
tery charger 13.
3. Switch off the device with the on/off
switch 8 if necessary.
4. Insert the power unit 12 into a readily
accessible wall socket whose voltage
matches the voltage stated on the rat-
ing plate.
5. Put the hair and beard trimmer 6 into
the battery charger 13 and press it
down until the plug symbol 10 is lit red
and the battery is charged.
6. When the battery is fully charged, the
battery symbol 9 flashes in green.
When the battery is fully charged, the
device can be used for approximately
60 minutes without being connected to
the power supply.
Operation
NOTE: figure F: for all applications hold
the shaver with an angle of 45° to your skin.
Regardless of the charging state of the bat-
tery, the 5-in-1 hair and beard trimmer can al-
ways be mains-operated.
1. For mains operation, ensure that the hair
and beard trimmer 6 is switched off.
2. Connect the power unit 12 to the con-
nector of the hair and beard trimmer 6.
3. Insert the power unit 12 into a readily
accessible wall socket whose voltage
matches the voltage stated on the rating
plate.

4. Switch on the device with the on/off
switch 8.
NOTE: when the hair and beard trimmer re-
mains connected to the wall socket after be-
ing switched off, it will be charged
automatically.
Transport safety lock
When the transport safety lock is activated,
the lock symbol 11 flashes blue 3 times.
• Press and hold the on/off switch 8 for
approx. 4 seconds to activate/deacti-
vate the transport safety lock.
• By connecting the power unit 12, the
transport safety lock is deactivated, and
also cannot be activated while plugged
in to the power supply.
Changing the cutting attach-
ments
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Switch off the hair and beard trim-
mer 6, before you attach or remove the
attachments.
• Figure A: to remove the attach-
ments 4, 5, 14, 15, 16 use your
thumbs to press the attachment towards
the rear of the hair and beard trim-
mer 6.
• Figure B: to attach the attachments,
put the lower flap of the attach-
ment 4, 5, 14, 15, 16 into the slot in
the hair and beard trimmer 6 and press
the upper part of the attachment against
the hair and beard trimmer until it audi-
bly locks into place and sits firmly in po-
sition.
