CHIMNEY
3.8
The chimney is placed at the end of the pipe and its function is:
Evacuate the combustion residues to the exterior.
•
•
Avoid the entrance of rain or other objects into the smoke evacuation pipe
Guarantee the combustion even if it is windy.
•
The top of the chimney must meet the following criteria:
The interior section must be equal to the one from the smoke evacuation pipe
•
•
The output section can not be less than twice the inside measures of the duct
Must be built in a way that prevents the entry of rain, snow... inside the smoke evacuation pipe even in case of wind
•
•
Must be easily removed for cleaning as well as for periodic revisions.
Installation of smoke evacuation must be aesthetic and in harmony with the building
•
•
Must be properly placed to ensure a right dispersion of particles from combustion
There must not be obstacles within a radius of 10 meters from the chimney, for instance a wall, a tree... In the case that
obstacles exist, the chimney pipe must be placed at least 1 meter above the obstacle.
3.9 CONNECTION TO THE POWER SUPPLY
Stoves require connection to power supply. Our stoves are equipped with a power supply cable adapted for medium
temperatures. To change the cable it is necessary to contact the product manufacturer or a technical service centre.
Before making the electrical connection one must ensure that:
The electrical installation characteristics are the ones indicated on the stove plate.
•
The plug area where the stove will be plugged has an earth connection according to the current standards. Earth
•
connection (for security) is obligatory by law. Failure to comply with this point will result in the loss of the product
guarantee.
The power cord must never reach temperatures higher than 75ºC
•
.
Contact a qualified electrician if you want to connect the product directly to the net.
If the product is not used for a long time, unplug it from the wall outlet or turn off the switch.
If the unit is connected through a power cord to the socket, this must be easily accessible when the unit is installed in
accordance with the instruction manual. If the device is not connected to the power cable through a cable and a plug but
directly to the net, you must install a device that guarantee the disconnection from the net.
WARNING
The manufacturer rejects all responsibility in case the described control and utilization norms are not respected.
4.0 OPERATION
4.1 SAFETY INFORMATION
• Due to the temperatures given off by the stove, adults and children must pay special attention and not touch its surface.
Special care must be taken with the children.
• It is prohibited to throw water or any other substance on the stove when it is in operation or during the cooling phase, in
order to avoid thermal shock.
• Do not deposit anything next to the stove which is flammable or sensitive to heat
4.2 COMBUSTIBLE
The only combustible which can be used is the pellet.
In order to guarantee combustion without problems, it is necessary that the pellet remains completely dry. We
recommend you use a good quality pellet, compact and floury. Ask your distributor for the appropriate pellet type. Store
the pellet at a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from the stove. (See Chapter 5)
